The VIGIMARE consortium is made up of 19 partners from 8 European countries. It unites the necessary multidisciplinary knowledge, expertise, skills, and resources to constitute a complete value chain of actors that together can achieve the project’s objectives. It is led by an experienced coordinator Laurea, with a tenured reputation for excellence in project coordination, management, dissemination as well as in delivery and development of advanced solutions for security entities. There are 8 leading research institutions with complementary expertise, 5 innovative technological providers of solutions and services and 5 CIOs (end users) with the necessary knowledge of their respective CI sector.

Munster Technological University

is one of Ireland's leading HEIs in engineering and science education, and is participating in VIGIMARE through the National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI), which is a joint venture between MTU and the Irish Naval Service. The Halpin Research Centre is the research unit of the NMCI, with a portfolio of over 40 international projects with total project value over €125m. Notable previous projects include EUCISE, AI-ARC and ARCSAR. Active research areas include: maritime safety & security; maritime circular economy; sustainability for maritime transport; innovative education and training for maritime careers; human factors in Offshore Renewable Energy; robotics and autonomous systems. Halpin's research projects have resulted in MTU ranking among the top ten in funding awarded to European HEIs for border security research using AI.

Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per i Trasporti e la Logistica

Is a non-profit educational association founded in 2003. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of University and Research. The Consortium is composed of 19 Italian universities, which specialize in the fields of transport and logistics, as well as related areas such as safety, security, telecommunications, circuit theory, electronics, computer science, mechanics, and environmental studies. The primary goal of NITEL is to promote best practices, scientific research, and innovation, while creating job opportunities for researchers in multidisciplinary sectors including engineering, business, medicine, telecommunications, environmental sciences, chemistry, and communications. The universities within the Consortium are highly specialized entities that leverage their collective expertise to foster research and drive innovation.NITEL also benefits from the support of various ministries and major Italian industries, such as RFI, ANAS, Telespazio, and Poste Italiane, which are members of the scientific committee. These partnerships enable the exchange of knowledge and the transfer of university research outcomes to the real world. NITEL supports companies by developing research activities aligned with their industrial objectives, facilitating technology transfer, proposing innovative solutions, and leveraging the expertise of the research teams within the Consortium. Additionally, NITEL provides assistance with the design, prototyping, and development of new technologies and services.

Rina Consulting S.p.A.

Provides a wide range of engineering consultancy services covering the whole project life cycle from feasibility and specialized technical studies to conceptual and detailed design, prototyping and testing, project management, site engineering, operation and maintenance management, as well as resilience assessment and enhancement solutions of infrastructure assets and systems towards various natural and man-made hazards. Telespazio France

Is a franco-italian aerospace and satellite services company, a joint venture between Leonardo (66%)and Thales(34%). It specializes in satellite operations, data services, and geospatial solutions, providing services for telecommunications, Earth observation, and scientific missions. Telespazio plays a significant role in the development and management of satellite systems and supports various sectors, including government, defense, and commercial industries.

Operator Gazociagow Przesylowych GAZ-SYSTEM Spolka Akcyjna

Plays a strategic role in the Polish economy. The company is responsible for natural gas transmission, operates major gas pipelines in Poland and the Baltic Pipe undersea gas pipeline, and controls the President Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście. As part of the 2015-2025 investment programme, GAZ-SYSTEM is developing over 2000 km of new gas pipelines in western, southern and eastern parts of Poland. Interconnections with Lithuania and Slovakia have been completed, as well as the design of onshore gas pipelines that will connect the planned FSRU floating terminal in the Gdansk Bay to the national transmission system. Is the owner of the Italian national transmission grid for high and extra-high voltage power and is the largest independent electricity transmission system operator (TSO) in Europe.
